Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test : The Punjab Government will held Punjab Teachers Eligibility Test for the year 2013 also called Punjab TET, on the basis of theproceduresput down by the central governing authorities. PSTET is for the applicant’s aspiring to become teacher’s in primary classes (I to V) & upper primary classes (VI to VIII) schools in Punjab state.
PSTET 2013 announcement will be out by the Dept. of School Education in Punjab or relevant examination board as engaged by the Govt. of Punjab. PSTET is a necessary examination for every B.Ed. qualified aspirants to be deliberated for teacher professions in schools which are run by government &private managements. Eligibility &Qualifications for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test
Job aspirants are required to have following qualifications as set by the NCTE. State governments can change the qualifications & eligibility necessitieson the basis GOs given by them.
Punjab TET Qualification for Teachers of Classes I to V in Paper I 2013
Applicants need to have passed Senior Secondary with minimum of 45% marks. Candidates who appear in final two year in Elementary Education Diploma / 4 year Elementary Education Bachelors/ 2 year in Special Education Diploma are also qualified. OR Candidates with B.Sc. / BA with minimum 50% marks & B.Ed qualified can also apply.
Punjab TET Qualification for Teachers of Classes VI to VIII in Paper II 2013
Candidates who have B.Sc./B.A. & those giving final two year B.Ed. / with minimum of 45% marks & passed / about to give B.Ed exams/ Senior Secondary with minimum of 50% marks & passed or final 4 year Bachelors in Elementary Education 4 year B.Sc. Ed./ BA or B.A. /B.Sc. Ed. / B.Ed. in Special Education) with 50% in B.Sc./B.A. are eligible for Punjab TET
PSTET 2013 Exam pattern, Syllabus and Scheme
Punjab TET Syllabus comprises of 2 objective type papers. Beneath are the details for question papers.
=> Paper I Syllabus – This paper is for teachers for classes I to V in primary schools in Punjab.
=> Paper II Syllabus – This paper is for teachers for classes VI to VIII in upper primary schools in Punjab.
=> Paper I and II – For candidates who wants to teach from Classes I to VIII. By giving both the papers and getting required marks, they can be eligible to teach classes I to VIII.
Punjab TET 2013 Paper I for classes I – V. Duration of exam isone and a half hours. Structure & Content (Compulsory Questions). Topics Covered are with total of 150 MCQs and 150 Marks .
(i) Pedagogy and Child Development with 30 Marks and 30 MCQs.
ii) Language I with 30 Marks and 30 MCQs.
iii) Language II with 30 Marks and 30 MCQs.
iv) Mathematics with 30 Marks and 30 MCQs.
v) Environmental Studieswith 30 MCQs and 30 Marks.
Punjab TET 2013 Paper II (classes VI – VIII). Examination duration is 1 and 1/2 hours. Topics Covered are with total of 210 MCQs and 210 Marks.
(i) Pedagogy and Child Development (Compulsory) with 30 Marks and 30 MCQs.
ii) Language I (Compulsory) with 30 Marks and 30 MCQs.
iii) Language II (Compulsory) with 30 Marks and 30 MCQs.
iv) (a) For Science and Mathematics teacher: Science and Mathematics with 60 Marks and 60 MCQs.
(b) For Social Studies teacher: Social Science 60 Marks and 60 MCQs.
