Rajasthan Rail Department has recently announced recruitment of forty two assistant jailors and wardens. This exam will be conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission for RJ Jail Department.

Age Limit for Assistant Jailor Post
The applicant age should be between 18 Yrs to 26 Yrs as on 1st January 2014. Additional age relaxation is dependent on government rule.
Pay Scale – (PB-1) Rs.5, 200 to 20,200 plus Grade Pay of Rs.2, 000
Qualification for the Assistant Jailor Post
The job applicant should be a graduate from a recognized University. Apart from this the candidate should have understanding of Hindi language in Devnagari Script as well as good familiarity with Rajasthani Culture. The physically qualification of the applicant for the Assistant Jailor post is –A person who is not more than 168 centimeters in height.The applicant deflated chest measurement should be less than 81 centimeters & inflated chest measurement should be less than 86 centimeters. Only a job applicant who matches the physical and educational qualifications will be deemed for the assistant jailor post.
A job applicant needs to appear for both Written Exam and Interview and clear them both.
Application Fee – For the general category, application fees is Rs. 350 only & OBC category application fees is Rs. 250 only. For non creamy segment OBC & SC/ST application fees is Rs. 150 only. Payment of application fees can be made using SBI online banking facilities.
Exam Pattern for Assistant Jailor recruitment 2013
The competitive exam for the assistant jailor post shall include2 papers, each paper of 150 marks each. The first three hour duration will beGeneral Hindi paper & second paper will be General Knowledge & General Science. The question paper is designed in such a manner that it can be answered in any of the languages – English or Hindi.Total number of questions a candidate appearing for will be 300 questions – 150 questions in general Hindi paper and 150 questions in General Knowledge & General Science.
The Cutoff marks for each paper is 36% & 40% marks average marks for both the papers. A person who has got min. 40% or more in the exam will be considered to have cleared the examination. Post clearing the written exam, the candidate is required to clear physical exams& interview.
Hall Ticket or Admit Card
The Admit cards for the exam to the applicants will be issued on the web site rpsconline.rajasthan.gov.in. The admit card will not be send by post or any other way. All the candidates are required to download the admit card online. They can download the admit card using email id & token number which was generated while depositing the application fees. Written Exam shall be conducted on all divisions of Rajasthan & if required on every district.
