Prasar Bharti is owned by government of India. It is an autonomous broadcaster. There are about 14, 222 vacant positions for the desiring candidates with this autonomous body. The body has been directed to provide jobs to at least 3452 candidates as soon as possible as it is essential for the smooth working of the broadcaster. The process of recruitment is handled by both Prasar Bharti and The Union Public Service Commission. Talent hunt is on for the upcoming three months for candidates with fresh innovative ideas which are full of enthusiasm.

Around 48, 022 posts are available with its two additional bodies i.e. All India Radio (AIR) and the popular Doordarshan. 8, 469 positions are available with All India Radio and 5, 753 with Doordarshan.

Syllabus for Prasar Bharti Recruitment 2013

Syllabus for the forthcoming Prasar Bharti Recruitment 2013 Examination consists of Paper I in which there is General Intelligence and Reasoning to be dealt with. The question paper for 1630 posts is not only non-verbal but verbal as well. The questions can be from decision making to spatial orientation, from judgement to relationship concepts etc. There is Semantic Classification, Figural Classification, Word Building, Venn Diagrams, Figural Pattern, Trends and Space Visualization etc. There is syllogistic reasoning, punched hole, figural pattern, embedded figures, critical thinking, social and emotional intelligence, address matching, classification of codes and dealing with letters in the general paper number one.

Second category in paper one is about general awareness. Questions in this paper are based upon environment and society etc. There is history, economy, general polity, geography, culture and scientific research in this paper. Mostly all subjects are dealt with in this paper.

Third category in paper one is about technical knowledge. Degree level questions are related to physics and other suitable subjects.

Second paper is based on a particular subject of student’s choice.

Combined examination is being held for two posts. These posts are for Engineering Assistant and that of Technician. The exam is scheduled for the month of April, 2013. For further information regarding the same one can call helpline call numbers +918800734161 and 011 45151781.

Combined exam is to be held on 2nd June, 2012 for the dual posts of Programme Executive and that of Transmission Executive. General and reasoning paper 1 with objective pattern comes with fifty marks. Paper on general English is also of fifty marks. The paper comes with fill in the blanks, spelling/detecting, shuffling of sentences, synonyms, cloze passages one word substitution, comprehensive passages, antonyms, and one word substitution etc. General questions are 100 for 100 marks. Paper 11 is based on language and literature of the concerned subject. Descriptive type questions are of 200 marks. Interview carries hundred marks.

A candidate with an open and inquisitive mind is likely to pass this exam as much of the syllabus is concerned with everyday true to life affairs. General information has become available through many channels. Previous papers can be seen online and discussed to the fullest.
