About UIIC: United India Insurance Company abbreviated as UIIC secures an accountable position amongst the leading Insurance Company in India. It is basically a government owned Insurance company. Not only amongst public sector based insurance Companies rather amongst the private sector also United India Insurance company occupies a place in the top list of four insurance companies.
Recently UIIC has issued a notification regarding the fulfillment of the 445 generalist officer, and invited applications from the interested and eligible candidates before 18th April 2013. So you can make your career in United India Insurance this year.
Selection for this post will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in the online test that will conducted by the Insurance company itself. For the test, tentative date that has been given by the company is 26th of May.
The interested candidates may check their eligibility through the advertisement given on the official website from the eligibility details section and then can apply for the vacancies declared through online mode. Moreover the requisite fees can be submitted by the applicants both through online mode between 2nd to 18th April 2013 and offline mode(at any branch of State Bank of India) between 4th to 22nd April 2013.

Syllabus for the UIIC Exam:
The question paper would consists of 4 sections that is Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, General Knowledge, financial Awareness & Computer Knowledge.
Reasoning- verbal and non verbal reasoning, coding decoding, problems based on figures, numbers and alphabets etc.
Quantitative Aptitude- Simplification, Profit & loss, Percentages , Distance ,speed & time , Height and distance, boats and streams, simple and compound Interest etc.
English - Grammatical English including prepositions, synonyms and antonyms, articles and their usage, reading comprehension, rearrangement of sentences and correction of errors etc.
General Knowledge, Financial Awareness & Computer Knowledge – General awareness regarding polity, economics, a bit of history geography, current affairs , financial awareness like budgets declared specially the latest, modifications made if any in them, and last computer Knowledge regarding hardware and software but only the basic level .
United India Insurance Exam Pattern:
The exam is segregated into three phases:
Phase 1- Phase 1 consists of Online test based on multiple choice objective questions.
Phase 2- Phase 2 is Descriptive test( Candidate will be asked to write preci or letter), only those candidates will get the chance to appear into this phase who clear the phase 1.
Phase 3- After passing the descriptive test that is phase 2, candidates will be called for the final phase of Personal Interview.
Marking scheme for each section is as follows:
Reasoning- 50 questions with one mark each.
Quantitative Aptitude- 50 questions, 50 marks
English- 50 questions, 50 marks
General Knowledge, Financial awareness Computer Knowledge- 50 questions, 50 marks.
Therefore, it is clear that the entire question paper will consist of 200 questions of 1 mark each.
